Mr Bernie Dole has several years of relevant experience running Public Listed Companies including over 15 years at Parquet Ceylon PLC where he rose to be the Director & General Manager, having converted the company into a fully integrated wood processing factory controlling the entire value chain from standing tree to factory pre finished wood flooring that was sold in the Do-It-Yourself stores around the world. In the process consecutively winning the most Prestigious PRESIDENTIAL EXPORT AWARD in 1990, repeating in 1991 and again in 1992. Parquet Ceylon PLC carried the household brand for wood flooring SWISSPARKETT, and also developed the Aluminium Glazing business under the name ALDECOR, and the janitor equipment business carrying the world renowned NILFISK range apart from RECKITT.
He was thereafter associated with the Swedish lead investment group that was involved with the Mobile Cellular Industry and involved with their investments including Colombo Granite Co Pvt Ltd a joint venture with the Forbes & Walker group, and was instrumental in acquiring ALUFAB PLC a company listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange that was in the aluminium architectural business. After operating this company for nearly two decades, the business was acquired by HAYLEYS PLC in late 2014, by which time he had successfully completed several prestigious complex high rise constructions starting with the windows replacement of the Colombo Hilton after the bomb blast, with security glazed windows, and executed the one billion turnover Sri Lanka Customs Head Quarters building, external Aluminium Framed Curtain Walls, facades and interior dry wall walls for the entire complex. He successfully designed and installed the longest glass fronted lap pool for the Calamander Hotel on the beach at Unawatuna, Galle.
Moving on he also successfully executed the supply and installation of modern kitchen systems of renowned German brands like NOLTE Kuchen, and Express by Nolte. Fire door installations from Indonesia, and India.
